Lara Monacelli Bani is the cofounder, together with Valentina Merz, of Atelier Remoto, an architecture practice based between Bergamo and Trento. They received the Prize Miglior giovane progettista 2022 for the Dandalò pavilion in L’Aquila, and in 2024 they were selected by the European architecture platform LINA for emerging talents. She studied at the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture and at Paris Marne-la-Vallée, École de la Ville et des Territoires. She worked at Architekturbüro Peter Zumthor, CN10 Architetti, New Landscapes, AS Architecture Shanghai, and at Pezo von Ellrichshausen in Chile. Alongside her professional practice, she collaborates with magazines, collectives, and other professionals as an editor, lecturer, and workshop tutor.
Atelier Remoto mainly explores small-scale interventions, and focuses on public and cultural programs.
