The Car Design Tools Preparatory Course is an intensive program designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to successfully enter a Master’s in Transportation Design. Aimed at those who don’t yet have a specific background in the field, this course offers a foundational learning experience to bridge any technical, theoretical, or design gaps, providing a strong grounding in the core tools and methods of contemporary car design.

Through a hands-on, multidisciplinary approach, the program guides students through the key areas of Transportation Design: from the initial concept research and ideation phase to 2D design development, combining traditional hand sketching with digital drawing techniques, enhanced by the integration of AI-based tools. The process continues through 3D modeling and visualization, leading to advanced digital rendering techniques for the final presentation of the project.
Students will also develop a complete Transportation Design project, addressing the complexity of contemporary vehicle design by integrating key disciplines such as aerodynamics, ergonomics, CMF (Color, Materials & Finishes), and vehicle architecture.
Classes cover the use of industry standard software for 2D design, 3D modeling, and project presentation, including Photoshop, Blender, Alias, as well as the integration of AI tools to support the creative and design development process.
The course is structured into progressive modules that help students build the necessary skills to tackle the design challenges of the Master’s program, with a strong focus on developing a clear and personal visual language and the ability to transform ideas into well-structured, coherent, and technically grounded design concepts.
