Students in class with Lechler

An extraordinary experience for our students, who had the privilege of immersing themselves in a lesson led by representatives from Lechler, a leading company in the production of paints.

A highly educational encounter that enriched the knowledge of our young designers, providing a unique learning opportunity thanks to the presence of experts in the Colour and Trim sector.

Students had the opportunity to explore Lechler’s innovative vision in the field of atomization and nebulization technology. With a history dating back to 1858, Lechler has established itself as a reference point in the industry, offering solutions for the application of paints and industrial chemicals, leveraging the development of chemistry and the evolution of color language.

During the lesson, Lechler representatives shared the latest industry trends, presenting new solutions for colors, materials, and methods of painting vehicles. They highlighted the importance of technology in the modern automotive industry, giving students the opportunity to delve deeply into how technological innovation not only influences the aesthetics of paints on automobiles but also significantly contributes to reducing solvent emissions into the atmosphere.

Lechler’s lecture went beyond a typical corporate presentation. Students had the chance to interact with industry experts, ask questions, and delve deeper into the knowledge they had gained throughout their academic journey. The focal point of the lesson was to enhance the understanding of how colors are formed and physically perceived, with a specific focus on analyzing light refraction and color rendering on different materials.

The event underscored the significance of collaborations between the industry and academic institutions in promoting innovation. It provided students with a real-world perspective on the challenges and opportunities awaiting them in the field of automotive design.

Lechler’s engagement with the Master’s in Transportation and Car Design students in the class led to an extraordinary fusion of theoretical insight and hands-on experience.

The shared expertise not only broadened their understanding of industry dynamics but also underscored the critical role that innovative technologies play in shaping the future of automotive design.
