The second lecture in the Design Talks 2011 series on Wednesay May 4th at 18.30 will feature Nicolas Bourquin, founder of Onlab Berlin. The lecture is free and open to the general public and will be introduced by Silvia Sfligiotti.
Nicolas Bourquin is founder and creative director of Onlab, Swiss graphic design agency based in Berlin, Germany. Onlab works on commissioned, collaborative as well as self initiated design projects. The focus of the commissioned work lies in editorial design and visual communication projects.
Some of the main projects of Onlab involved the visual identity of the city of Tramelan, the redesign of the Italian architecture magazine ”Domus”, the design and conception of the German contribution to the architecture Biennale in Venice 2008.
Nicolas Bourquin was co-editor and designer of “Los, Dos and Tres Logos” and “Data Flow 1 + 2” (Gestalten). In 2003 he co-founded the independent publishing house ‘etc publications’.
DesignTalks is the international lecture programme promoted by Scuola Politecnica di Design SPD to explore the most interesting research trends in design, architecture, graphic and multimedia. The integration of different media, between design and technologies, research and professional practice will be central to the meetings that will continue until July 2011.
