THEREDBOX AT DESIGNTALKS 2008 | OPEN LECTURE ON MARCH 11TH

Alberto Bianda at SPD on Tuesday, March 11th from 18.30: Swiss graphic design from its southern, softer side.

theredbox, the swiss graphic design studio from Lugano, will be the second guest in the DesignTalks lecture series, organised by Scuola Politecnica di Design. Alberto Bianda, partner and co-founder, will speak at SPD onTuesday March 11th at 18.30.<\b> The lecture is open to the public and will be introduced by Silvia Sfligiotti.

theredbox was founded in 2001 by Alberto Bianda and Paolo Jannuzzi. They work mainly for clients from the art and cultural fields, as well as public institutions, designing books, posters, exhibitions, identity systems. Amongst their clients, Benetton, Fabrica, Contrasto,publishers such as Federico Motta, Gabriele Capelli, Charta, la Galleria del Gottardo.
Their projects have received several awards, such as the Best swiss books in 2002, 2003 and 2005, and two international awards for the best photography book.

Design Talks is the series of lectures – open to the general public – exploring the most interesting research trends in contemporary design from graphics to web and multimedia, from product design to architecture. The integration of different media, between design and technologies, research and professional practice will take center stage during the meetings focused on graphic design.
The next DesignTalks guests will be: Ales Najbrt in collaboration withSupsi, Lugano (SPD April 8th, Supsi April 9th), Erik Kessels from Kessels-Kramer (SPD May 28th) e Norm (SPD June 5th).

The second part of the programme will concentrate on the design of product, spaces and experiences with Ross Lovegrove, Fernando and Humberto Campana, Matali Crasset and Martì Guixé with the introduction of Cristina Morozzi.
