The DesignTalks series introduces Fabio Parasecoli’s research on the representation of food in films as a social and political battleground.
Faces month by month. The 2003 Scuola Politecnica di Design Calendar features the most famous faces of Italian and international graphic art and design.
January opens with Nino di Salvatore, the founder of the school, artist and theorist. Amongst others you will come across Bruno Munari, Max Huber, Pino Tovaglia, Gio Ponti, Attilio Marcolli and Heinz Waibl. The twelve personalities, chosen by the students on the Master’s course in Visual Design 2001-2002 who realised the project, all have something in common: they have at one time taught at SPD. In fact the photos used for the calendar were taken during lessons, conferences and while talking or working with students.
The authors of the calendar then worked on the material trying on each page to get across the values, style and characteristic trait of each featured personality.
