The DesignTalks series introduces Fabio Parasecoli’s research on the representation of food in films as a social and political battleground.
Etienne Mineur, French graphic and interactive designer, is the first guest of the DesignTalks lecture series, 2008 edition. Mineur will speak at SPD on Thursday 28 February at 18.30. The lecture is open to the general public and will be introduced by Silvia Sfligiotti.
Etienne Mineur works in the field of interactive and editorial design since 1992. After collaborating with international agencies such as Nofrontiere in Vienna, he co-founded Incandescence in 2000. He’s the art director of the Issey Miyake web site since 2001, and has designed phone interfaces for Nokia. Since 2005 he also writes a blog on graphic design and new technologies. He’s a member of AGI (Alliace Graphique Internationale).
Design Talks is the series of conferences by international designers organised by Scuola Politecnica di Design in collaboration with Supsi for the graphic design area. The open lectures explore the most interesting research trends in contemporary design: from graphics to web and multimedia, from product design to architecture. The programme which boast names of the first rank from each professional field, start in Febraury and ends in July 2008.
The integration of different media, between design and technologies, research and professional practice will take center stage during the meetings to come, focused on graphic design in particular. The next DesignTalks guests will be:The Red Box (March, 11th), Ales Najbrt (April, 8th), Erik Kessels (May, 28th) and Norm (June, 5th).
The second part of the programme will concentrate on the design of product, spaces and experiences with Ross Lovegrove, Fernando and Humberto Campana, Matali Crasset and Martì Guixé with the introduction ofCristina Morozzi.
