10 years of MID Master in Interior Design

On 19 November SPD from 6 p.m. a special event at the Agorà Theatre of Milano Triennale to celebrate the first 10 years of collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and POLI.design.

SPD, in collaboration with Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milanoand POLI.design, a consortium of Politecnico di Milano, to celebrate ten years of MID Master in Interior Design.

MID Master in Interior Design celebrates its 10th anniversary on november 19 at 6.00 pm at Teatro Agorà / Triennale Design Museum. The celebrative event will be animated by several special guests, amongst which Piero Lissoni, one of the most acclaimed Italian designers, and his partner and former MID student Stefano Giussani, who will exchange opinions and visions on the future of the profession. Trendwatcher Elena Marinoni contributes with an analysis of new consumer trends and the sector’s mindstyle. A live tweet session provides the opportunity to understand the points of view of some of the professional practices involved in 10 years of teaching at MID: Maurizio Melchiori (Studio Progetto CMR), Simone Micheli (Studio Simone Micheli), Marco Piva and Armando Bruno (Studio Marco Piva) and Denis Santachiara (Studio Denis Santachiara).

Host of the evening is Italian journalist and SPD teacher Giorgio Tartaro,who is also co-director of the  Master Interior Design.

A review of 10 years of MID Master in Interior Design is provided by the speeches of Arturo Dell’Acqua Bellavitis, President of Fondazione Museo del Design Triennale and Dean of Scuola del Design, Politecnico di Milano, Antonello Fusetti, Director at SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design, Matteo Ingaramo, Director at POLI.design, Consortium of Politecnico di Milano and Francesco Scullica, Politecnico di Milano, Scientific Director of Master Interior Design.

MID is the result of a collaboration of Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milano, SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design and POLI.design, Consortium of Politecnico di Milano. The programme includes the teaching of the most renowned Italian practices in their field of competence. During ten years of activity, at MID have been taught 311 students, 50% of which are foreigners, a fact that establishes MID as one of the most important post-graduate courses in interior design.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, two scholarships have been made available. The upcoming Master Course, starting in march 2014, offers a 50% discount both for one Italian student as for one foreign student.
