Food Design

The Master’s course, developed jointly by SPD and IULM University, is a year-long programme starting in March 2015. The programme includes academic training and a final internship. It admits graduates from various backgrounds: design, liberal arts, scientific disciplines and social sciences. It awards 60 ECTS credits.

Web and Digital Design

The Master’s offers a 15 month-long specialised training from October to December the following year, internship included. It admits graduates in relevant disciplines and awards 60 ECTS credits.
The OneYear course, open to graduates in disciplines not relevant to the field of interest, consolidates the essential design tools to face complex projects. It starts in October and ends in July. It can be a primer for the Master’s year.

MID Interior Design

The Master’s, organized in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano and the Polidesign consortium, is a year-long specialised training from March to December. The programme includes classroom training and a final internship. An intermediate proficiency of the Italian language is required. The Master’s admits graduates in relevant disciplines and awards 60 ECTS credits.

Transportation and Car Design

Sponsored by Volkswagen Group, the Master’s offers a 15 month-long specialised training from October to December the following year, including the final dissertation. It admits graduates in relevant disciplines and awards 60 ECTS credits. Post-Masters internships are available. Design Talks

Mauro Porcini, Pepsi co. Chief Design Officer, closes the 2014 Design Talks programme

Design Talks began in 2007 to share insights and cross-disciplinary ideas from the faculty and the professionals visiting the school every year. The initiative has turned into an annual event exploring the most interesting research trends in design, architecture, graphic and multimedia. The 2014 conference series ended in July 2014 with the talk given by Simone Micheli. All the lectures are now available online. The new program will be available in January 2015.

60 ANNI DI FORMAZIONE PER IL DESIGN A MILANO Fondata nel 1954 a Milano, SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design è la prima scuola di formazione postlaurea per le discipline del progetto in Italia. Oggi SPD è un laboratorio internazionale per scambiare esperienze, per sviluppare progetti in equilibrio tra funzione ed espressione, produzione e sperimentazione grazie alla combinazione unica tra le radici italiane e la forte apertura internazionale. I giovani professionisti che la scuola propone al mercato e la qualità del lavoro sviluppato in aula ogni anno sono la testimonianza di un dialogo straordinariamente efficace con aziende, istituzioni e i diversi attori del sistema design. I Master offerti da SPD sono organizzati in collaborazione con l’università IULM e consentono di ottenere diploma di master universitario riconosciuti dal Ministero dell’Istruzione, Università e Ricerca e i relativi crediti secondo il sistema CFU/ECTS.
