Superfarm is an installation conceived for the 2011 Salone del Mobile, the world major design event.
SPD was invited to take part into the exhibition “50+50” to celebrate the anniversary of the furniture fair by answering a provokative question: What will be the meaning of design in 50 years?
Inspired by a quote from the movie The Social Network, SPD students responded with a new question: men once lived in farms, then in cities, now we live online.
What’s next? The Superfarm is relocated into the urban environment; its new role is to serve the community as the future supermarket.
