From the school to the Design Week: Collapse is an academic project in collaboration with Rapsel that takes centerstage at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2014. Gustavo Branco Nosralla, Dario Costa and Burak Kocak, graduates from the Master in Industrial Design, present for the celebrated Italian company a complete family of bathroom products focussed on both the international contract markets and residential interiors.
The final result at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2014 (Rho Fiera, hall 22, D27 – E20) stands out for its clean but not minimalist presence. Simple volumes are juxtaposed to suggest an idea of movement and create a break in the regularity of the composition.
This architectural approach achieves a twofold objective: overcoming the geometric linearity of the individual elements and underlining functional details such as the invitations for openings, drawers, or lights integrated into the variations of the plans.
