The proposals chosen by a jury composed of experts in communication, design and of professionals of the automotive field, will then be ready for the launch on the market, offering to design conscious customers the chance to express their originality and their unconventional attitude.
The winners will be announced next Tuesday, 17 April 2018. The students appointed by the jurors will be awarded the scholarships funded by SsangYong Motor Italia. Two cars featuring the awarded graphic liveries will be displayed from Tuesday at the Mudec museum in Zona Tortona, the most popular destination of the Milan FuoriSalone event during the entire Design Week, until Sunday 22 April.
The “Tivoli Design Takeover” project, promoted by the Korean company, aims at stimulating the creative interpretation of this urban, the model in the SsangYong range with “urban”, “pop” and “joyful” personality, by a young and dynamic audience, attentive to new trends and attracted to cars with a distinctive design character.
This has already been confirmed by the first impressions of Michele Leonello, designer, SPD tutor and project leader of the “Tivoli Design Takeover” who has followed the students throughout the development process: all the entries reveal the richness of the inspirations of SPD car designers, drawn from the world of graphics, active wear and fashion, but also the attention to the volumes and treatments of Tivoli. It will be an exciting experience to see the result of his work unveiled on real cars.
