Show up is an exhibition that travels through the works created on the SPD Masters during 2002-2003. The Industrial, Interior, Transportation, Visual and Web Design projects have been developed in association with partners like Microsoft, FIAT, Natuzzi, Dainese and Legambiente.
The students, who are young designers from all over the world, have been involved in complex, stimulating work in which they have been able to sharpen up sound design skills. The results of this academic model can be seen in several places: in the project on forms of widespread intelligence in everyday work spaces and objects, which was co-ordinated by Piero Lissoni; in the Personal Car research project, which was developed for FIAT by Transportation Design students led by Marco Bonetto; in the integrated communications projects for Legambiente and Yes of Dainese which were created by Visual and Web Design students, along with Elio Carmi and other SPD teachers.
Enrolments for the Masters and Basic Design courses are now open for the next academic year. Lessons, which are on a full-time basis, start in October and finish in June 2004. SPD’s academic offering covers five fields of study, from product and space design to visual communication to multimedia.
