Relive Salone del Mobile 2024 through the eyes of MEED talents

The viewpoint of students from the inaugural university master’s program in MEED – Master in Event and Exhibition Design. A narrative rich with insights, glimpses, details, and unique perspectives.

On the occasion of the 2024 edition of Salone del Mobile Milano, the students of the MEED Master in Event and Exhibition Design took part in the collective narrative of this important international event for the design world. This participation was an invaluable experience for the students, allowing them to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of one of the most significant design events globally, and to contribute their fresh and innovative perspectives.

In a constantly changing and evolving job market, MEED stands out as a pioneering educational program. This first-level university master’s program, born from a collaboration between Accademia Fiera Milano and SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design, aims to train new professionals who are capable of combining a design-oriented approach with essential skills in management, marketing, and communication. Through the principles of design thinking, MEED equips Event and Exhibition designers with the ability to conceive, design, manage, and communicate new and successful formats. The program emphasizes creativity, strategic planning, and effective communication, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the dynamic event and exhibition industry.

From April 16th to 21st, the MEED students created a series of engaging video content, capturing the essence of the event through insights, interviews, glimpses, details, and unique perspectives. Their work covered a range of captivating themes and exhibitions. From “Under the Surface” to “All You Have Ever Wanted to Know About Food Design in Six Performances,” these videos highlighted key features of the International Bathroom Exhibition and EuroCucina. Additionally, the students explored the SaloneSatellite, showcasing dreamlike rooms imagined by David Lynch, and innovative layouts blending neuroscience and AI.

The project was conceived by Enrica Baccini, Course Leader of the Master in Event and Exhibition Design and Dean of Accademia Fiera Milano, and developed under the supervision of Gustin Goradz. Their guidance ensured that the students could bring their creativity to the forefront, producing content that not only documented the event but also provided a fresh and dynamic narrative.
