DESIGN WEEK 2019: ON SHOW AT PALAZZO LITTA A.X.A.P.

A.X.A.P. is As Extra As Possible, the project developed by XL EXTRALIGHT® & Scuola Politecnica di design SPD, curated by Matteo Ragni Studio, that enhances a unique material: the creativity of SPD students and the extraordinary potential of XL EXTRALIGHT®, ultra-light, innovative and highly technological.

The exhibition will be at Palazzo Litta during the Milan Design Week and is divided into two parts: the installation signed by Matteo Ragni Studio and the projects of the students of the SPD Master in Industrial Design who interpreted the multiple potential of XL EXTRALIGHT®.

The installation A.X.A.P (As Extra As Possible) is born from this observation. The project stems from the collaboration between XL EXTRALIGHT® and Scuola Politecnica di Design SPD and is hosted at Litta Palace, the beating heart of the Fuorisalone.

The concept is signed by Matteo Ragni Studio and tells the potential of XL EXTRALIGHT® through the interpretation of 20 international SPD’s students who have given new shape to the many features of the material: flexibility, durability, hygiene, lightness and versatility above all.

With Antonio De Marco, Matteo Ragni has coordinated the projects of the SPD’s students that are enclosed in a museum gallery, with boiserie in mdf Fibracolour by Finsa and luminous cases containing the prototypes, alongside samples to be touched for direct experience of the material. The seven projects start off from the values of the material, such as comfort, resistance and its ability to float in water and offer new, unconventional applications in different contexts, from the outdoor to the pet care or the kids products.

The A.X.A.P project enhances the creative resources of the material and identifies new territories where the XL EXTRALIGHT® ingredient brand has never been used.
