Mark Parsons

Lecturer - MA Event and Exhibition Design (MEED)

Mark Parsons is a corporate financier and entrepreneur.

He runs a big data businessEvents Intelligence, which uses machine learning to understand the similarity between companies and help event organizers find new exhibitors for their events at scale. Understanding the connections between people, companies and industries and how these can be represented and understood using interaction graphs is a significant area of his current research. He regularly speaks at conferences and writes articles for the trade press on the impact of data on the exhibitions industry – recent articles include exploration of design thinking, value proposition innovation and how the marketing funnel is being transformed.

He holds an undergraduate degree in Econometrics, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK, holds an Executive MBA from London Business School and a MSc in Data Science from New York University. He is currently studying entrepreneurship at Cambridge University.
