Francesca Foglieni is a service designer with over 15 years’ experience in the fields of design research, education and consultancy. Her experience at the intersection of academia, civil society and business has allowed her to build a deep knowledge as well as a manifold vision of design as a driver of change, with particular focus on participatory approaches. PhD in Design, she studied service evaluation for long, up to define a way to introduce it in service design practice and support organizations in developing evidence-based service solutions. On this topic, she co-authored the book “Designing better services: A strategic approach from design to evaluation” published by Springer. At present, she is part of the P2P Lab Research Collective and she collaborates with the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano as project manager at European-funded projects. Moreover, having coordinated the Specializing Master in Service Design at POLI.design and worked as an Adjunct Professor at Polimi School of Design for several years, since 2023 she directs the Executive Course Service Design for Systemic Change, organized by POLI.design.
