Massimo Pitis

Design has no boundaries

Massimo Pitis, after working in Bologna and New York, moves to Milan where he collaborates with Mirko Pajé in the creative direction of Mediaset. In 1995 he founds Vitamina, with Aldo e Giorgio Buscalferri (with clients such as Mtv, Heineken, Sugar, Blu), then works as a creative director at Landor Associates Italia. In 2001 he is awarded the first prizefor corporate identity by the Art Directors Club Italiano.

He worked  in the field of exhibition design with Migliore+Servetto Architetti (Wallpaper, Elle, New York Times Magazine) and with Mirko Zardini (Triennale di Milano, Biennale di Architettura di Venezia), and curated the 15 issues of Lettera, the graphic design section of Abitare magazine. In 2005 he was the curator of the exhibition and catalogue Pino Tovaglia – La regola che corregge l’emozione.

In 2007 he founded Pitis, design and consultancy studio, working with clients such as CCA Montreal Corraini, Skira, Electa, Esperia, Museo del Novecento, Einaudi, Triennale di Milano, Rizzoli, Gruppo Sole 24 Ore, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Wired – Condé Nast, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Expo.
