It’s a matter of identity and time

Ico Migliore is an architect who was awarded two Compasso d’Oro ADI, ten Red Dot Design Award, two German Design Award and two IDA – International Design Award. He teaches Interior Design at Politecnico di Milano and he is a visiting professor at Tokyo Zokei University. In 1997 he founded the firm Migliore+Servetto Architects with Mara Servetto, producing projects characterized by on-going research in the expressive use of light and new technologies in combination with light-weight materials.

He has developed worldwide projects and installations for some of the most important museum, institutions and international brands in the field of design and fashion. His recent projects include the α-cromactive permanent lighting installation designed for the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper in Turin; the exhibition Coats! Max Mara, Seoul 2017 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul; the new Mondadori megastores and new dmail chain of stores for the Percassi Group throughout Italy. He is currently working in the city of Busan (Pusan), South Korea, on Blue Line Park, involving the conversion of 5 km of abandoned railway tracks in the waterfront area into a thematic and acoustic park. In addition, together with Italo Lupi, after winning the competition, the studio will soon realise the new Design Museum for ADI Collection in Milan. With Mara Servetto and Italo Lupi they have just curated the exhibition Achille Castiglioni Visionario at the m.a.x. museo in Chiasso to celebrate the centenary of Achille Castiglioni.
