Denis Santachiara is one of the protagonist of Italian design. Since the 80’s he has worked in between art and design focussing on industrial technologies and innovative processes in order to obtain new aesthetical values for functional yet poetic products.
He has curated numerous exhibitions including La Neomerce (1984) at the Milan Triennale. His work was shown in the most prestigious institutions: the Centre Pompidou, the Louvre and the Grand Palais in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in Tokio, the Chicago Atheneum, the Vitra museum and the Moma in New York to name a few.
For his accomplishments in product and interior design he received the Compasso d’Oro, the Good Design and Design World awards, among others. The last frontier of his work is called download design: on-demand projects whose production and sale are commissioned online, directly by the end-user. A system that is transforming the traditional supply chain including production infrastructures, marketing and distribution networks, stores.
