Emanuela Bonini Lessing, Luigi Farrauto e Marco Tortoioli Ricci

Emanuela Bonini Lessing took her PhD in Design Sciences from the Iuav University in Venice. She completed a research on the various forms of public communication in contemporary European cities. She the author of the book Interfacce Metropolitane (Metropolitan interfaces) and participated into the collective book Delta Landscape 2100. She is a researcher of the Iuav University in Venice where she teaches both in the undergraduate course in Industrial Design and in the Specialist Degree in Design. She writes various articles and essays; her research is focussed mainly on the themes of the identity of cities, territories and populations and on their communication strategies.

Luigi Farrauto is a graphic designer with a PhD in Design. During his studies he specialized in maps and in the image of the cities.  He has worked in Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi and Boston where he contributed to mapping and way finding projects of Middle Eastern countries in particular. He teaches information design at SPD and works as a consultant for wayfinding.

Marco Tortoioli Ricci was born in Perugia in 1964. In 1987 he obtained his degree from the ISIA in Urbino where he studied with Provinciali and Hohenneger. From 1989 to 1992 he worked as art director at Dolcini Associati firm in Pesaro. In 1992 he founded his own practice in Perugia, bcpt associati. Since then he has dealt with corporate identity projects and system/service design with specific reference to the communication of territories and places. In 2003 he has started the co-operative company Co.Mo.Do focussing on ethical communication and social innovation. Since 2007 he teaches Design Methodology at the Isia in Urbino.
