Design Talks

Martí Guixé

After completing a straigh-forward industrial design curriculum, he decided to call himself an ex-designer to state his distance from the consumist drift of the conventional flower pots and ashtrays designers. Exploring the relations between food and design, with a rich body of works he gave a practical demonstration of what “food design” can be like. In the current stage, he’s rather inclined to define himself a generalist designer as he’s applied his ideology to different commissions, from public sculptures and interiors for some of the world’s leading retail companies (not to forget his long-standing relations with the food world).
With his visionary twist, he will explain how he can create cultural value through design, granting the companies he partners with a great visibility in a global context.
