The One-Year Course in Interior and Product Design provides the methodological and operative foundations on Interior and Product Design.
This course is also intended as a primer if you want to do the Master courses in Industrial Design or Interior Design.
The One-Year Course in Interior and Product Design provides intensive training for candidates who have no previous training in design, architecture or similar. This course helps students gradually acquire a stronger set of professional skills.
Design practice complements theoretical studies and technical training. Topics covering both product and interior design are covered, emphasizing how they interact. General training includes color theory and practice, 2D graphics and 3D representation techniques.
During the One-Year Course in Interior and Product Design, you also gain in-depth knowledge of materials and their manufacturing processes, as well as develop skills in graphics and industry-specific software.

The One-Year Course in Interior and Product Design program is open to graduates with a degree in subjects not directly related to the design studies in question.
Admission is based on a review of the candidate’s portfolio and a personal assessment.
The course is full time and lasts one academic year (October to July).
Class attendance is mandatory, as well as coursework preparation and individual study.
At the end of the One-Year course, students with a pass grade in all the prescribed semestral courses will receive the SPD Attendance Certificate with the Mark Sheet.
Once the school’s directors give you positive notification of this, you can apply for admission to the Master’s courses in Industrial Design or Interior Design to pursue your education.
SPD is a recognized educational institution for the Lombardy Region. SPD Master’s courses are organized together with the IULM University and are worth official ECTS academic credits.
