On Saturday November 22nd SPD will take the students on a tour at the Venice Biennale of Architecture that is closing at the end of the week. Accompanied by Matteo Pirola, Professor of History of Interior Design in the Master’s in Interior Design, they will visit the two official locations of the event titled Fundamentals and curated by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas: the Arsenale and the Gardens that this year host 65 nations including 11 new ones.
The students will also take a closer look at the Italian Pavilion that collects evidences of the country’s architectural metamorphoses under the title of Grafting i.e. transferring new ideas onto preexisting realities and structures.
Architect and Pavilion curator Cino Zucchi has selected the SPD new premises designed by 5+1AA to take part in the exhibition.
