On 14 October at 4 pm SPD will take centerstage at the MiArch Festival of Architecture with a talk by Gianluca Peluffo, 5+1AA.

SPD will take part in MiArch Amate l’architettura/Love architecture, the international festival of architecture that will be staged in Milan next week. On Tuesday 14 October at 4 pm the architect Gianluca Peluffo will attend the event with a lecture entitled Noi apparteniamo. Bellezza e Rivoluzione/We belong. Beauty and revolution. Gianluca Peluffo is the founding partner of the architecture firm 5+1AA that with its offices in Genoa, Milan and Paris, is in charge of important commissions all over the world. The firm completed the architectural project of the new building housing the school. The talk that arch. Peluffo will give is intended to highlight the relationship between the design of the school’s spaces  and the organisation of the complex activities connected with design practice that take place inside. This theme will be addressed with an extensive journey through art, architecture, design and craftsmanship in order to underline the ongoing dialogue among the different forms of expression. The school, its role and creative production, will find their place within this cultural and artistic heritage. The conclusion of the speech will identify the concept of Beauty as the unifying element that allows the connection between individual and collective feelings. Beauty here is conceived as a place, both visible and invisible: therefore contemporary architecture must embrace the challenge and be worthy of this this artistic and cultural history to which it belongs.
