The DesignTalks series introduces Fabio Parasecoli’s research on the representation of food in films as a social and political battleground.
In the company’s own words, the Renault Twizy is the first-ever fully electric urban crossover that is meant to change the way we move in the city. The key features of this new interpretation of the Renault Zero Emission philosophy are extreme practicalilty, maneuverability and comfort that can of course reach very high standard in comparison to scooters and motorbikes.
An occasion not to be missed to discover this inspiring design story from the very voice of its protagonists will be offered at SPD on Thursday 10th July from 10. Patrick Lecharpy, VP at Renault for Design R&D and Nissan Synergies and Luciano Bove, Design Manager R&D Design Studio will introduce the audience to the various phases of the Twizy design process revealing unexpected details of its conceptual approach which has been translated into the final design. According to Patrick Lecharpy, the Twizy succeeds in meeting two fundamental goals: it defines a new design language around electric propulsion and yet still feels car-like – despite occupying a footprint only 2.3m long and 1.13m wide. For this reason the lecture will be followed by an open discussion session during which participants will be able to enter in the car and interact with it as if in a collaborative focus group. Participants will also have the chance to ride the city with the Twizy gaining a direct experience of the car.
The presentation will be open to the public.
