The DesignTalks series introduces Fabio Parasecoli’s research on the representation of food in films as a social and political battleground.
The DesignTalks series is about to close with a lecture by Liza Ramalho, co-founder with Artur Rebelo of the Portuguese graphic design firm R2.
The conference, with an introduction by Silvia Sfligiotti, will be held at SPD on Wednesday 15 June at 18.30 and will be followed by an exhibition of posters at the Aiap Gallery, Italian Design Association for Visual Communication, which is partner of the event.
Based in Porto, Portugal, R2 works for a wide range of cultural organizations, contemporary artists and architects in areas such as visual identity, poster, book, sign system, graphic installation and exhibition design.
Lizá and Artur have lectured in Graphic Design since 1999 and coordinated various workshops and participated as speakers and jury members in numerous national and international events.
Currently, they are invited professors of Design and Multimedia Course at University of Coimbra. They have been invited to a wide array of international exhibitions and their projects have been published in various specialized books and design magazines.
DesignTalks is the international lecture programme promoted by Scuola Politecnica di Design SPD to explore the most interesting research trends in design, architecture, graphic and multimedia. The integration of different media, between design and technologies, research and professional practice have been central to the meetings organized starting from March 2011. Guest speakers for this edition of DesignTalks: Sergio Menichelli from Studio FM Milano, Nicholas Bourquin from Onlab, Luca Nichetto, Odoardo Fioravanti, Oliver Reichenstein from Information Architects, Sam Baron from Fabrica and Lizá Ramalho, R2.
