This is it, the projects carried out with the support of the Volkswagen Group Design under the programme Moving Milan, are nearing completion. The final results will be presented during the end-of-the-year show of the Master’s course in Transportation and Car Design, scheduled for mid-December. Twenty students will present 10 projects for three different brands: Lamborghini, Seat, Volkswagen. This is the culmination of all of the hard-work started in October 2013 with the initial research and the early sketches. The development process continued throughout 2014 under the careful supervision of the designers of the three brands: Alessandro Salvagnin and Michele Tinazzo for Lamborghini, Julio Lozano for Seat and Marco Giumentaro for Volkswagen. Alessandro Dambrosio, VW Konzern Head of Interbrand Design, coordinated the collaborative project with SPD. The final proposals encompass both exterior and interior design and will be presented through digital and physical media. The 10 final models will be displayed in front of a selected audience made of representatives from the industry, faculty, staff, alumni and student peers. In the meantime the placement activities are proceeding in order to identify valuable opportunities for professional integration in the various design centres of the brand.
