PANEVINO

A la ronde

Drinking together, sharing one single chalice, is a ritual with an ancient and deep meaning. It is the way in which people have been making agreements, alliances, and marriages for thousands of years. Until not so long ago, the families of Valle d’Aosta used to celebrate unions, friendships, and births drinking in turn from a chalice called “grolla”. In such a contemporary interpretation, the convivial function is combined with that of oxygenating important wines before drinking them to best appreciate their taste and aromas.
